Leaders in the Making

At MICMS, leadership isn’t reserved for a select few—it’s a mindset instilled in every student, every day.  Through the Leader in Me curriculum, we enhance academic rigor with an evidence-based program that builds character, strengthens emotional intelligence, and fosters habits for lifelong success.

Engaging lessons, collaborative activities, and a high-trust culture empower students to set goals, solve problems with critical thinking skills, and make meaningful contributions to their school and community. At Marco Island Charter Middle School, we’re shaping tomorrow’s leaders who will make a lasting impact on the world.

Limitless Learning Opportunities

Curiosity and innovation come together to create a truly unique educational experience at Marco Island Charter Middle School. Our state-of-the-art STEAM Lab features virtual reality, 3D printing, a TV studio, and podcasting equipment—offering students hands-on opportunities to apply knowledge, ignite creativity, and prepare for the future.

Beyond our innovative facilities, students can take high school-level courses such as Algebra, Geometry, and Spanish I & II, ensuring they are academically challenged and well-prepared for future success.

We are also proud to be home to Collier County’s only middle school marching band, giving students a rare opportunity to excel in music while developing discipline, collaboration, and confidence.

As we continue to grow, we have our eyes set on becoming a STEAM-certified school—with plans to expand our offerings even further through robotics and additional cutting-edge technology designed to inspire the next generation of thinkers, makers, and leaders.

Beyond the Bell

Learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends!

Our Eagle Enrichment Program (E²) runs daily from 3:00 to 5:30 PM, providing a safe, structured space that supports both academic success and personal growth through homework help, tutoring, and hands-on activities.

Students can also explore their interests through a wide variety of after-school clubs, including:

Academic & Creative Clubs:

Ecology Club, Builders Club, Chess, Debate, Theater, Yearbook, Handbell Choir, AV Club, French Club, and Travel Club.

Hands-On & Special Interest Clubs:

Gardening, Anglers (Fishing), and Gaming.

Our Travel Club will head to Boston during Spring Break 2026 for our annual school trip!

Clubs are optional but highly encouraged—and it’s okay if students can’t make every meeting. There’s something for everyone, and each club helps students grow beyond the classroom.

Building Character Through Competition

Our middle school athletic program is an education-based initiative that emphasizes character development, teamwork, and sportsmanship alongside athletic excellence. While maintaining a strong commitment to personal growth and academic balance, our teams compete at a high level across all sports, consistently facing top-tier competition.

In recent years, our program has earned a reputation for excellence, capturing multiple league championships across several sports. Our student-athletes are encouraged to pursue both individual and team goals with discipline and integrity, contributing to a winning culture that reflects the values of our school community.

MICMS is on the Move!

We’re proud to announce that Marco Island Charter Middle School now owns brand new 2025 Blue Bird school buses—a major step forward in expanding opportunities for our students and families.

Owning our own buses means we’re no longer limited by the public school system’s transportation schedule. This gives us greater flexibility to:

  • Take more educational field trips
  • Provide transportation for athletic events
  • Allow our music and band students to perform out in the community
  • Offer daily transportation to and from Marco Island, including for students who live in Naples

No matter where you live, your child deserves access to the exceptional opportunities at MICMS—and now getting here is easier than ever.
